Hello animators, This is my fist time posting on animation lounge so go easy on me  Smiley. Iv'e been attempting to animate a character for a module at university and seek feedback from you guys.
Its nothing much yet, all that happens story wise is that our friend Hickpry the mouse is leaving his house to go on holiday and gets startled by the sounds of chlderen singing the nursery rhyme so he retreats to the safety of his home. The animation is quite rough and only 6 seconds long.
so any comments are very welcome.

welcome blueseal to animationlounge.

for your animation, it's look nice but a bit too slow... to give you and idea, a step should be around 12frame, same for the jump.

hope that helps!

really good beginning.
Mathias

thank you Mathias, your advice is very much appreciated and I will take it onboad. I'll look at speeding things up a little nd make things more snappy. Ill speed up the jump too.

thanks alot Smiley

really cool story there!

I think your bigger problem for now is timing, don't be afraid to speed it up! even for the careful walk...

a slow walk doesn't mean slowing down a normal walk, it means that the timing of the whole walk is different and to understand this principle you have to always think about the weight of your character.

here is a sneak walk I tried... the walk is slow but not the moves, the thing that make the walk slow is that he has his two feet for a long time on the floor until he finds the balance for the next step

hope that make sens.
Mathias.
