did you download try with these ones? If it doesn't work I can't really help you, I don't have the version 8. Try to go in the option of Open Scene and check ignore version. but you can follow the tutorial here. http://www.digitaltutors.com/digital_tutors/video.php?v=1111

Would anyone know by any chance where I could find a model for a tree? I want to animate a monkey on a branch.
Thanks
P.S: I'm not too sure we should post these kind of questions on this part of the forum, so don't hesitate to relocate if it's not the case.

Hey everyone!
Here's a simply modeled and rigged wheelchair for you. I'm going to use it a future animation, but since you're all so cool sharing your stuff, I thought I would too. Hope you like it!

Thanks to everyone who posted props. Especially the rigged ones! With all the animation I have to do for school sometimes I jsut don't have time to make nice-looking props. Small request . Does anyone have any kitchenware stuff lying around that I could snag? Just like bowls and silverware and crap like that...

Thanks! If i design any props that I think would be "share-worthy" I'll be sure to upload 'em. This might be a nice place to talk about sites where you go to get free props too. I used to use creepy clown, but since it's been down I've had trouble finding a collection fo free props.

Hi, kungfu hamster. I'm not good modeller but anyway. Only low detailed fork and spoon included because for high detailed you need just apply 'Smooth' polygons with Divisions 1 or 2. P.S. There is Maya 2008 file version.

Hey everyone, here's a rigged piano for you! I thought this would be a nice quick one just in case you want a character to play a song or do some cartoony stuff like dropping it on someone or hiding in it. Top lid and lid for keys both open and have hinges. Keys all depress and are lettered by note (sharps too). The seat can be moved separately or together using the master ring. The foot pedals can by depressed. There isn't anything inside the main body and it isn't textured by I think my friend who modeled it did set up the UVs in case you want to do some texturing yourself! Hope you like it! http://www.taberanimation.com/files/Piano_Rig.mb

Hello there! I've done some train poses with BUDY and props which I created for this purpose and I decide to share them. 1. Basketball 2. Top hat 3 And whip For the first two props the lowpoly objects included in the archive, for a highpoly version all you need is to add smooth. And the whip smooth level customized from the controller (this is the rigged prop).

Hm, maybe in the whip too much controllers, and if I you think about it as well, I'll reduce amount of controllers and reskin it.

Ok guys here is a link where u can get few more props in 3DS format...but I am afraid they are not rigged. http://www.m3corp.com/a/download/models/index.htmhey! can u guys tell me how can I import 3DS format models directly in my maya scene? I do it this way: Import the model in 3ds max and export them in obj format. And then again, import them in my maya scene..I know this is very long process.. Is there any mel script u guys can get me to do this in easier way ? anyways, hope u guys like the props! Thanks to Mathias AUBRY,great thread and all u guys!
