Hello every body . it`s about few weeks that I`m thinking about some idea to make some rigged character to share it with every body .But this time I`m not going to do it only my self . I want you to share your great ideas and whatever you want from a rig to make it more an more flexible . we can discuss about it Alot and ofcourse is must has alot of fun too . for example I`m intrested with some eye which is like blah blah blah .... . or I want to make some small or hug leg and something like that . and also you can put your sketches over here . would it be good ? I think we can get some strong character with beauty style and with alot of features on it . excuse me about my english guys . does my words make any sense ?

just an idea, but i think it'd be cool to have a big strong character to play around with.
kind of like a mr. incredible type character.
it'd be fun to animate some big, lumbering, "john wayne" like walk cycles.

No matter what kind of character we could come up with, the real interest here could be to learn the entire process in making a character with different job for peoples ( if peoples have time to do it and and interest) such as on person to draw different designs put them on AL and get some feedback etc.. and same thing for every step such as modeling rigging etc..
But anyway, a super hero is a cool idea. I would to have a kid like character too a boy or a girl...
Good idea Ram

Hero and Kids... Oh, love both ideas
Let's talk about what I would like to see in rigs. Something that I feel that is missing in most of the free rigs nowadays is the ability to manipulate the eyelids. I've seen that most of the rigs focus just on the brows and that's good but it would be really useful to have controls on the eyelids as well in order to sell better our ideas. Also controllers for the upper and down eyelids. Sometimes you need the bottom ones to sell a certain kind of expression.
For the body. I love what Lowman has. You know, that option that allow you to switch between IK and FK and not lose the position of the arms. So is able to jump from one to the other without major changes.
And well, it all depends but lately, I've noticed that the best rigs are those that are able to recreate something that we've seen for years in cartoons. Most of the rigs are too static and aside of the ability of the animatior, it's always good to have some nice controls (actually, easy to break) but that allow the animator to do crazy things (I'm not talking about performance here but about deformations).
Does it make sense ?

Hey guys i'm thumbnailing some rough ideas about the design of a squirrel for AL, but dunno what kind of squirrel you would like to see haha? I know they use to be pretty snappy in movies today, but i thought it would be cool to have something different or unexpected I just finished the rough of a bodyguard squirrel Tell me your ideas! I'll scan the drawing to show ya

If you have cool idea, post it... that could be cool!!!
In fact me too I was thinking of something maybe less expected... I like the squirrel for the cute side, also fast and a nice tail...
But I was thinking maybe a bat could be cool too...
Anyway post some ideas and we can speak about it!
Thank again for your work Drake!

for your squirel, it's cool.
I would say that the bodyguard look limits too much the use of it. If ppl want to use it they will have to fing a story that will explain the bodyguard style... But we can imagine a Strong Squirel, which could be really original, fresh!

This gives me some ideas of very fat/slim/tall/small/strong squirrels. I'll try to sketch some before the end of the week. Stay tuned!

yeah! cool! I was sketching a bat and then I'm like... Wow, the wings will be tough to rig!!! So maybe the idea of the squirel is better for now . Not that I'm thinking that the wings will be impossible, but that will talk a lot of time!
