Hello To every one, so the time has come for me to pick a school to finally start my dream of becoming and animator  Cool.  The only problem is which school, i have been looking at Calarts, ringling, scad, all the big animation schools.  So if any one has anything they would like to add on what school they went to or think is a good school please post.  And i might add that after college no matter what school i will be taking AM all ready have the money saved up.

thanks

Hey Nocc, welcome on Animation Lounge.

For the school, I'm sorry, I won't be able to help you too much, I only know a bit the school in France. But if you find interesting info about them, feel free to share them!

Which location are you looking for your school? and why aren't you applying directly to AM!? lucky guy! (already money saved up  Shocked!)

Animation Mentor is really the best place for an animation degree if you ask me. I wish i would of done more research before choosing my school.  I am currently attending Full sail university for Computer Animation.  ITs a good program but its more of a 3d generalist school. I here that Vancouver film school has a nice animation program also.  There is really lots of schools out there, it just comes down to you choosing if you want to focus on animation, modeling, and all that other good stuff.  Good luck with the search and i hope the best for you.

In addition to Animation Mentor and VFS, I heard a lot about Gobelins in France, and the student?s work are amazing and state of the art. Check it out:

http://www.gobelins.fr/presentation-anim-gb.htm

Choose by quality, forget about college diploma or general superficial knoledge about all fields of CG. If you want to be an animator, go just for animation.

I?m animation self student, and if I could, I would pick one of these three schools.  Cool
