About Animation Mentor, I'm not a student so I can't really give you a correct answer but I contacted someone that will come to answer your questions asap.

About pepeland school, it's the first time I hear about it... which for me is not a really good sign Tongue I saw some animations from the teacher but I don't remenber watching any of his students.

What are the good school in the world?
Well, Animation Mentor is definitly a really good one and it's open to a lot of ppl if you have enough money Tongue
les Gobelins in paris I would say is also one of the best school, but this one is really selective with its students!

Hope I answer to some of your questions!

Yes, there is some selection but not as much as a "physical school"

Gobelins is a good animation school, though it's not the only one. There's several good ones in europe.
To me, it mainly depends on what you are aiming for.
?cole de la Cambre in Belgium is very good, but it's more Art oriented.
?cole Pivaut in Nantes (France) is a pretty good alternative to the Gobelins. More and more schools are opening theses days, and it's not because it's expensive that means it's good. I know some of them.

it's definitly true that it's not because it's expensive that it's a good school... so it's good to do some research about a school you are interested in.

so maybe on this topic, we can post some experiences we've got from different school.

Let's just remenber that it is only personnel point of view and if someone post a thing about a school it does not mean that everybody should feel the same.

So if you are french, MJM paris for animation.... 5 years ago it was to be avoided, reason, animation was not taught  Grin (personnal experience!)
