Well, I'll give you the same answer than in the maya specific room Smiley :

well, do you have a special demand to know how to rig in XSI ? because even though I'm not an expert in Rigging, I can tell that Maya is top notch software to do that.

sabusomu,

Did you get the 5 DVD pack with XSI when you bought the software?  That will tell you a TON about rigging (and everything else in XSI).  My best advice if you want to learn is just take a simple character & start trying to rig it.  Read the manual's Character Setup section & start walking through all the Tuts that come with XSI.  It's the best and fastest way to learn it all.  And if you get stuck with something specific, like "I know how to do this in Maya, but can't find it in XSI..." post a question here.

Best of luck!

Do you know "Experience XSI 4" by Aaron Sims and Michael Isner?
This is an awesome book cause it covers two aspects of XSI: the creative by Aaron and the technical by Michael. Im pretty sure Michael gives some detailed information on how XSI works under the hood for rigging.

Check it out. I cant tell more though cause I have the same problem. Always used maya and now try to get hands on XSI  Cheesy
